Links and Resources Here at Sweetpea Springers we strive to make sure that every puppy is matched with the most suitable home possible. In order to do that, we encourage everyone who is interested in one of our pups to do as much research as they can on the breed. While we love our Springers and couldn't imagine life without them, they are not suitable for everyone or every lifestyle. The following links are just a couple of the resources out there to help you decide on the right breed for you and how to find a reputable breeder. American Kennel Club - http://www.akc.org Here you can find links to descriptions of all of the AKC recognized breeds as well as guides on finding a reputable breeder and links to breeder classifieds. English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association - http://www.essfta.org The ESSFTA is the AKC recognized Parent Club for the English Springer Spaniel. They have many resources on their website including the breed standard, helpful tips in choosing a breeder and a breeder referral program. English Springer Rescue - http://www.springerrescue.org If you aren't sure that a puppy is for you or would like to adopt a senior dog, please check out Springer rescue. There are many dogs available for adoption all over the country. ESRA is also always in need of volunteers, so check them out! |
